Conference presentations and demos

Finovate (2011–2013). Four appearances at Finovate — the financial technology demo conference — presenting DirectID’s open banking and identity products. Finovate presentations are seven-minute live demos to an audience of banks, investors, and fintech practitioners. These appearances were among the earliest public demonstrations of bank data-driven identity verification. Cyprus Fintech Summit (2023). Keynote and panel participation at the Cyprus Fintech Summit, speaking on open banking adoption, fintech GTM strategy, and the role of identity in regulated financial services. UK Export Academy (2025). Speaker at the UK Export Academy webinar series, run by the Department for Business and Trade. The session covered practical export strategy for technology companies — drawing on experience with DirectID’s international expansion and the DBT Export Champion role. Open Banking World Congress. Participation in panels on open banking infrastructure, consent design, and the evolution of regulated data products across European markets. YCF Scotland. Podcast interview discussing digital identity, trust infrastructure, and the intersection of financial data and verification in regulated markets. Building Scotland Conversations. The Building Scotland conversation series doubles as a podcast with published audio episodes alongside written articles.
